In the summer of 2023, Union Avenue Christian Church welcomed the
Reverend Dr. David Greenhaw as its Interim Minister. Until his retirement in 2020, David Greenhaw served in the dual role at Eden Theological Seminary as President and Professor of Preaching and Worship. David is an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ and has served churches in Florida, New York, New Jersey, Tennessee, and Missouri. He did his undergraduate degree at the University of Kansas, received a Masters of Divinity from Eden Theological Seminary, and a PhD from Drew University. He is active in the field of preaching and worship, and has published and lectured extensively in this area, including the book, “Preaching in the Context of Worship”. His current research is on the future of American Protestantism's role in forming social, cultural and political institutions. You can reach David by email at David@union-avenue.org

Scott Schoonover, Music Director, is a gifted musician, conductor, and choral director. In addition to his work as Music Director for Union Avenue Christian Church, he is the founder and Artistic Director of Union Avenue Opera. He also has conducted and directed other opera companies and choral ensembles, including Asheville Lyric Opera in Asheville, North Carolina, Muddy River Opera in Quincy, Illinois, Winter Opera St. Louis, The Bel Canto Chorus, and he currently directs the Missouri Women’s Chorus. Heather Buckley-Wilson
Heather Buckley-Wilson, Church Administrator, is a writer, womanist and queer theology fanatic, live music devotee, musician, and travel enthusiast! She is a MDiv student, mother of four, wife, and founder of a non-traditional woman’s group called Woman is a Well which meets every Saturday. She has over 25 years of experience in administration and customer-facing roles. Stop in and see Heather onsite from 9:00am to 3:00pm on weekdays.
