Where do you find inspiration?
Obviously I find inspiration in music, especially music with great text. Also, I find inspiration in travelling — being away in new places, with new people, new and beautiful perspectives.

At night, with friends when all the work is done.

What are your three favorite books?
I don't know that I have favorite books. The books of J.D. Salinger affected me quite a bit when I was younger as did the poetry of Emily Dickenson. More recently I read to escape — I loved Dan Brown's Angels & Demons.
What are your three favorite UAOT productions?
A hard call, but, nostalgically, I would have to say Marriage of Figaro, Susannah and
Eugene Onegin.
What are your three favorite performances by a soprano in a UAOT production?
While there have been many, I would have to choose Ann Hoyt, Susannah, Denise Wilhelm, Michaela, and Lise Lindstrom, Turandot.
What is your place in your family's birth order?
The oldest of four.

definitely fall
