Bible Study: Jonah and the Mercy of God

Join us Sunday, July 24 as we continue our summer educational focus – "Forgiveness: A Christian Response to God's Merciful Love." We'll explore together the challenging tale of Jonah, a man who comes to discover that God's love, forgiveness, and mercy are always far greater than our own.  We'll view together a creative video re-telling of the story by Episcopal Bishop John Shelby Spong and share in a discussion on the Christian challenge to participate in God's merciful love.

This discussion is part of our summer long study series inspired by Union Avenue Opera's upcoming production of Dead Man Walking. Throughout the summer we will examine questions about justice, mercy, prison reform, capital punishment, and what it means to forgive.
