Reel Faith Wed December 15 “The Homecoming”

Join us in the Fellowship Room at 6:30 pm on December 15 for a presentation of the film "The Homecoming: A Christmas Story." This is the movie that launched the "The Waltons" television series.  The story follows the events of a special Christmas Eve in 1933 and how it affects the lives of the Waltons, a family living in the Blue Ridge mountains during the depression. Struggling to make ends meet, the father of the family has been forced to find work in the city but the family hopes he will make it home for Christmas Eve. When they hear a radio report that his bus may have been involved in an accident, the oldest son John-Boy is sent out into the wintery night to try to find his father.   The story is drawn from the real-life family experiences of write Earl Hamner and features Patricia Neal, Richard Thomas, and Edgar Bergen.

The film is 100 minutes and begins at 6:30 pm. Free popcorn provided!
