Union Avenue Sponsors St. Louis Int’l Film Fest

Again this year, Union Avenue Christain Church is proud to be a sponsor of the St. Louis International Film Festival. The festival runs from November 11-21 at a variety of venues around town. Part of the festival includes a sidebar of films that address stories and  issues of faith. For the 2010 festival, we are the official sponsor of the feature "Letters to Father Jacob," which follows the story of a blind priest whose ministry is focused on answering letters from parishoners asking for prayer. Leila, the priest's cynical assistant and recent prison parolee, thinks his letter-answering efforts are pointless. All this changes when, suddenly, the letters stop coming.

"Letters to Father Jacob" is showing at the Plaza Frontenac theater Thursday, November 18 at 4:30 pm and Saturday, November 20 at 6 pm.
